  3. Welcome to the lapband experience, was just banded with Dr Aguila at Memorial Hospt,Tampa. I am older but figuring I may need a few tucks here and there after I loose all the weight I want to loose. One of my friends was having some sagging bat wings but she went and got herself a trainer and she looks so much better, I was surprized exercise really helped her out, maybe weight training? It is better to be thinner and healthier and then you can see if you need any further tucks. Every bodys skin and shapes are different. but do not let that be a deal breaker.
  4. My daughter in law ahd 2 babies after a full body lift. she does not have a saggy anything after the babies. She blew up like a ballon and gained leg weight which now is gone, but her waist maintained. So, wont affect the babies. Now when she asked about a tubal ligation she does need a different procedure because of the tummy tuck- from what they normally do.
  5. call Dr- might need to change right away. You do not want to go to surgery sick n weak. some put them on protien diet instaed of shakes

I went for my 6 week check up all looks good n DR say go for it!
  7. I finally joined the gym and got all my gear etc, Dr say I am good to go, so after I get back out of town, will be heading for the gym. My family (son) and grands moving away mid feb so been all involved with that, so after their move- I will be alone in the area, have no where to go but work gym n church, then I can concentrate on me.
  8. Yea- i was banded dec 22 and not yet eating the hardcore foods, eggs tuna etc, no real meat. But back on my probiotics cause with me, it makes all the difference in the world. If the plumbing is working- I eat my right portions with out any discomforts. I was amazed of the difference.
  9. Had my first fill, drank the water didn't feel a thing? Maybe I'll know tomorrow when I go back to eating my meals. Only thing I notice, is I am not drinking the whole cup of coffee or downing the entire protien shake.? Anyhow Dr say next fill 4 weeks.

  14. I live alone so 4 days after surgery I was still feeling ugh so left my family's home- with kids, food and smells of food and went back to my own apt to finish recouperating.. what got me, was the POSTS on FBook. they posted pictures of food and one cousin posted a picture of a huge birthday cake, I swear I tasted that B-cake in my lips, I replied- "will print and eat". I also think I was emotional after surgery, drugs and what not which does nto help. I think the discomfort of the surgery kept me, but now I have my own foods and feel satified, The guys on the job are curious as I have lost 20 something lbs and keep wanting to know what I am eating, and ask me to join them at lunch,,, and I say I brown bagged it. I think anymore people just into self and not considering other folks at all. Stay strong and remember, even though they might have had a part, no one else helped you gain the weight, no one will help you lose it. This is your walk. So head up -shoulders back and forward march.
  15. hypo here My dr say weight loss might lessen need for my dosage, but all ok
  16. Banded 4 weeks maybe get 1st fill this tue and I am playing the 185/187 game. but just joined gym to start working out after Dr say all ok with everything and hernia he fixed. I think if he approves my probitics I will do better, still playing the constipation game, but did that b-4 surgery, so next week... better plan! Good luck - maybe gotta switch somehting out.

  22. I am in same boat. but tomorrow going to walk at busch gardens, I have figured out I have no desire to walk to no where, with the cooler temps i just shrink in a couch after work,, but this weekend almost like 78 so outside i will be. Got banded in Dec, and just starting to feel really good, and balanced, so I think in the spring,, I will be more motivated.
  23. I hope you feeling good today is 20th and you should be home recouperating. Let us know!
  24. I work with close to 100 men and a few women. They gossip just as bad, they have an idea, but my lips are tight. Too many opinions. Some of the ladies talking behind my back, but not speaking to me directly. Oh well,, my life and I will do what I need to to feel better.
