    My Doctor

Find a new doctor who will support your weight loss surgery, my doctor was very happy for me when I told her I wanted to have WLS as she should be because she knows how hard I was struggling with trying to lose weight on my own and all of my medical issues. You pay him not the other way around...just my opinion because I’m a no nonsense person, I have no problem changing if they are not supporting me...the insurance company has enough requirements, you don’t need more on top of that. maybe others here have some better suggestions. I wish you the best!

    The day is here!

I've just done my labs and am waiting to be admitted for my sleeve gastrectomy today. I'm very excited but slightly nervous. I'm alone in the waiting room since it's so early but I should have visitors later after the surgery is complete. Wish me luck! Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm curious about something. You keep saying 128 oz of water. Doesn't that depend on your size? I feel like that is soooooooo much. My NUT recommended 64-80 oz. I would never leave the bathroom.

    Exercise after Surgery

Yes, walking starts almost as soon as you wake up from surgery. You'll be on some level of restriction for a while, I couldn't lift more than 10 lbs for 6 weeks. Afterwards I was cleared for certain levels of exercise, and then more shortly thereafter. It's subjective and personal based on a number of factors. But always listen to your doctors!

4 - 5 bottles of what size? if it's 12 oz... that's like half what you need. Why are you capping yourself at 1000 calories? Was that advised by your nutritionist? Have you followed up with them? If your energy levels have dropped that drastically, you REALLY should reach out to your team and follow up with them, there could be some issues they need to address. Always best to keep them in the loop with problems of this nature!

My hospital gave me a binder and it has helped with pain too!!! Especially when the weight comes off and your back is in shock without the fat helping to support your spine. I wear mine every day!!!

I had a swallow test after gastric bypass. I’m glad they did one to ensure no issues before leaving the hospital.

I decided to stay in town for a couple of days to make sure I did not have to drive 4 hours to the emergency room if there was an issue. So good so far... I'll be heading home tomorrow and getting my dog out of puppy jail in the afternoon. (-:
