I got my surgery date today April 12. Im really nervous. But even more excited. Any suggestions on how not to think about this 24/7 for the next month.[emoji4]

Hey, if there is anyone in the South Los Angeles, CA area who is in the beginning stages of their journey or will be having surgery soon and needs protein shakes, liquids, i have some I would like to give away. I have premier protein shakes in chocolate and vanilla flavors, I have a couple of containers of creamy soups in tomato and butternut squash, I also have Arizona green tea zero and a few bottles of vitamin water zero... if you are interested in any of the items please message me. First come. We can meet up. I overstocked prior to my surgery and would like to share with someone who may need these items. I also have broths as well, chicken, beef, and veggie broths. With love, Jenny

    Long Menstrual cycle

I am 4 weeks post op from GB. My period has lasted 12 days. Wth? I have a 1 month follow up in 3 days so I will ask the surgeon but anyone else have long periods ? It's not heavy but it's consistent & annoying. I'm on birth control already. Could it be wacky Hormone levels due to surgery ??

    Any one feeling like this

My doctor told me if I have a fever or hard time swallowing, that I need to call them or go to the E.R. asap! Height: 5'0" Weight for WLS consultation: 216 lbs. Surgery date: 2/13/17 Goal: -71 lbs for healthy BMI (about 145 lbs). Current weight: 185.2 My profile picture is not me. It's my "FITspiration" body.

    Trying to stay positive.....

Oh No! I have BCBS too. Through Bank of America. I'm on my last month that but I gained 2 lb in month 2 also. At my last weigh in next week, I should be at a total loss of 4 pounds. This is because my bmi was only 37.2 so I was afraid to loose too much. It's like you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. What state are you in? I'm in the Dallas area.

One month out from surgery! Still stalled...(thought I wasn't - it was just a tease). Still, 15 pounds in one month is not bad, and the inches are definitely coming off. I may be able to get into a smaller size as my biggest clothes are just barely hanging onto me now.

    Help!! Food issues.

My advice with any new food is to take it very very slow. Make a cracker with cheese, nibble a corner off and set it aside. Let your stomach make up its mind on how it likes it. After a few minutes, try another nibble and so on. Take a nice long time to finish that one cracker, or any new food, and give your body a chance to give you feedback. All of my mistakes thus far have been from eating too fast.

I was told very few people actually have dumping syndrome, it's a small percentage. If you still eat poorly you will gain weight.
