  12. My surgeon says 3 meals, no snacks and pasta and rice are one of his recommended foods! From everything I have read this is unusual and I am planning to see a bariatric dietitian. He also advocates weightloss shakes post op rather than protein drinks but perhaps they are the same kind of thing?

  16. You know what? You have just gained a tool to help you going forward. The next time you are really tempted to eat something you know you shouldn't remind yourself of how upset and guilty you felt. Then you will realise it's not worth it. You don't fail when you learn from your mistake! You've got this!

  19. I think it probably pretty normal to be thinking about food in your situation. The letter to yourself was a great idea. Best of luck.
  20. His comments may be from ignorance, or they may be from fear, they could be from alot of things. Only you know the dynamic in your relationship. Having said that when you made the decision to have wls you made the decision to start valuing yourself in a way that you might not have previously. Keep valuing yourself in all your decisions about YOU and you can't go wrong. You deserve support and if you feel deep down that his interests are being put before your health you might have to value yourself enough to go it alone.
  21. You are doing a great job, makes me hopeful for when I'm finally on the other side.
