I know this thread hasn't been posted in for a few weeks but I also wanted to say along with @Arabesque and @ms.sss that I haven't taken my vitamins in quite a while. I took them for about a year, give or take a few months, after my sleeve surgery. I had my blood tested recently and everything was good for me as well. I'm sure it won't apply for everyone but for a lot of people, myself included, I would think that when you are able to eat a normal amount of food again following the surgery, as long as you are eating a balanced diet then you are probably getting all the nutrients you need. Of course, I am not a doctor though and everything I say should be taken with a very large grain of salt!

Hi everyone! I am new to this site. Is there anyone else who is scheduled in February for gastric sleeve? I am scheduled on February 8.

    6 weeks post op food

Hello! I'm curious seeing as how super bowl is coming up, how many have tried eating hot queso at 6 weeks? What about wings with no skin?? What was everyone eating at 6 weeks post op? Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app

Yeah, those tv food ads initiate your "head hunger" to salivate over their food. And yes, you have to sip, sip, sip all day long to get your fluids in.

Day surgery and February 2 surgery date!

Mine went well and I’m doing great. Down 17 lbs total, 7 since the surgery. I hope the rest of you are adapting well also.

    Not Losing Belly Fat??

I feel for you. I am exactly where I want to be with my weight and still have some belly fat. I think it's mostly some loose skin but it looks a lot like a beer belly haha. I am at 160lbs now but even when I was very underweight, 130lbs, I still had it. I think the only was to completely get rid of it is plastic surgery. Also, while crunches are great for your core, it is my understanding that they don't actually do anything to get rid of belly fat specifically. Honestly, it is probably more noticeable to you than to anyone else. That's how it seems to be for me at least. Good luck though!

I changed jobs in the middle of my process and they submitted documentation to new insurance and they only wanted me to redo one thing (nutrition assessment) and approved. Good luck!

    Not Losing Belly Fat??

I'm 61, so my skin probably can't bounce back as quickly as yours. Give it time and you may be surprised. And there's always plastic surgery if nothing else works. (I'm still considering it, but I would like to talk to other men who have had it before I make a decision.)

    Feeling vulnerable.

I announced on Facebook today that I am planning on having gastric bypass. I am an honest person, and transparent as far as my thoughts and feelings, so I wanted everyone to know what was happening before I started losing massive amounts of weight. Everyone has been very supportive in their responses thus far but it has left me feeling exposed and vulnerable. Bring on the anxiety. On a positive note, I've lost 2 more pounds and have gone down 2 pant sizes since starting this journey. [emoji1373]
