Looking for starters of the process sugary likely fall 2017

Recommended Posts

Hi all! I'm at the beginning of the process. Got all my appointments scheduled. Saw my nutritionist on 3/20/2017. See my shrink on 3/27/2017. Got an ab ultrasound on 3/30/2017. So far so good with keeping a food journal. Working on my exercise that seems to be the hardest thing. It will take 6 months for me to get thru the pre-op requirements. Chose gastric bypass. Just want want support, encouragement and any helpful info. Thanks!

I started my process on 3/2/17. So I'm not to far ahead of you. I am struggling with food log though. I also got a fit bit to monitor my movement and such so that has been a help. But I need to do the psych evaluation and a few more things. I'm so nervous and I choose bypass as well

I started in Feb and am looking at about August for surgery. Cheering you both on. I am logging food and watching my steps (will increase each month) The logging is helping me pay attention to what I'm doing/need to get better with.

I'm feeling "in the zone" right now, and was able to show a loss on my visit this week. I'm trying to get my head together prior to surgery, and taking baby steps each week/month so I don't feel overwhelmed when it's time to make a dramatic change. Kicking my Diet Coke was the first step. It was the thing that had the biggest grip on me. It's gone!

I'm also at the beginning. Initial consult, chest x-ray and labs done as well as mandatory seminar. I see the nutritionist on 4/7 and I don't go in to get scoped until May. I also have some support groups I have to attend. Glad to join you all in being nervous and excited!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
