Good grief! Don't be left in the dust by 2017's food fads!

Recommended Posts

When it comes to being au courant, food has been one of the areas for decades. Nitwits grab onto the next big thing and suddenly would rather die than be caught dead eating the last big thing. food as status.

With that observation, I'd hate for anyone here to be a left-in-the-dust social outcast. Let it be known that I always thought kale over rated and have long been a fan and cook-eater of various greens. I draw the line at carrot tops, though. They simply look destined for the compost pile. (Might I take a taste behind closed doors?)

Everything on there looks nasty as hell. Except mustard greens I like those mixed with turnip greens, but cooked not raw.

I sure am glad that I seriously got into weight loss solutions between yesterday's low fat fad and today's low carb fad. It makes nutrition a whole lot easier not having to worry about the latest food evil or superfood.

Ok.....I think i will pass on the majority of that. Especially the shake one, mostly because my poor group pouch actually spasms just looking at it. Nothing that cold and fattening for me.

In theory.

When browsing this board I notice quite a bit of nutritional obsession.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
