Hi I had lap band to bypass revision in one surgery on 12/9 the recovery is just about the same as the lap band you just have to deal with a draining bulb.

Super easy for me.. I had it done in the morning as outpatient. Surgery was a little over 1 hour. She removed my band and put in the sleeve. The first four hours I had nausea and pain. They gave me meds to help. After a few walks, I was released at 4 pm. Slept most of the second day. Third day I was able to meet both Water and Protein goals. Felt pretty much normal except a bit sore in the midsection. Never had problems with getting sick, an Iron stomach. I do feel restriction, usually 3-5 oz/meal. I had an excellent surgeon though, so I consider myself very lucky.

Thank you both for your replies. I have my revision surgery Dec. 20. I'm getting a little nervous.

Was easy for me. Had my done on 10/27. Had a little issue at 5 weeks, bent over wrong and pulled my inside stitches, out of work for 2 more weeks. But other than that everything was great. Easy recovery. I have lost total of 31 lbs since surgery. 41 with post op weight loss. Was a size 16 almost 18 pre-surgery now 12's are getting big. So happy had the surgery. At a stall right now, been same weight for 2 weeks, but working on it and I am sure it will come off. Best decision I ever made.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
