I'm a big fan of the crackpot! Especially since for a while you're going to need to be taking in soft foods so it's perfect! Made a huge pit of chicken and lentils for the family last night and it came out better than I expected!

Recliner. I had the RNY GB and although it was laproscopic, they cut the stomach muscle. OMG was that a shock the first time I tried to get out of bed. I finally got it down in the hospital with the automatic bed.

When I got home, I got into my bed, fell asleep and woke up in agony because I rolled over and strained the stomach muscle. I finally got myself out of the bed (pushed through the agonizing pain) and slept on my couch sitting up feet up on the ottoman) for two days until the recliner came.

I should have gotten the electronic kind and not manual (my sister ordered it for me. I knew I shouldn't have listened to her - lol) but even with the manual (It is a pain in the butt to push the foot rest part down but it didn't really hurt) I was a lot more comfortable.

i couldn't sleep in my bed for nearly 3 or 4 weeks post-op. (I learned about the recliner 10 years ago when I had a breast reduction. Many on a support site I found recommended it.) don't know what I'll do with this thing when life goes back to normal but for now, I'm grateful to have it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
