Did you end up having the plastics yet?

No. I chickened out, lol.

I had a loan ready to go and everything for a panniculectomy and implants with a lift. I'm just not up for another surgery and the lengthy recovery at this time. I may change my mind later, who knows. If I were 20 or even 10 years younger, I probably would have done it in a heartbeat, but being almost 50 and married for almost 28 years, I can live with it for now ;)

Completely get that Babbs! I'm still not certain I want to go thru all of that either. Perhaps something to be said about being comfortable in our own skin.? Owning your sexiness?

Not that having the surgery is wrong, either! Such a personal decision. I may still do part of it! For me- it's the scars on my breasts that are the biggest deterrent.

Such is life. We all know what we can-cannot live with--- or without.

Thanks guys!

I've had my entire body contoured and the scars on the breast are the very lightest of all... really they are not noticeable. As for getting implants because you won't get cancer??? You might want to Google this to read about women whom have had explants because their implants made them very ill... and I am not just talking about the old silicon implants of yesterday... even saline implants have caused women to get seriously ill.

@@My Bariatric Life

Thank you for the comments! I truly appreciate it. Actually, without having had the BRC-A test, most doctors won't do the removal. It was more my flippant/dry conversation here

Nice to hear from so many that their scars were the least of it.

I had a lift with no implant and all is well. The scarring has lightened over the years. I very seldom wear a bra. 3 years out and still perky

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
