Babbs - well yes of course I do - I have had enough health concerns to know to research everything & every decision I make which is what I'm doing and this forum is part of that research - opinions from the horses mouth is important but I'm certainly not an idiot as to expect a magic cure - nothing is

as it's been said before, weight loss surgery is a TOOL. nothing more. nothing magic. nothing instant. and it takes WORK.

after having surgery i think how i can best describe it is this: prior to surgery, i could literally eat pounds of food and never really feel full. after surgery, i feel like i am eating very 'normal' portions comparable to what other people would eat. 'dieting' is something that when i make an effort to do- can work. cutting cals and moving more is making a difference. the only issue for ME is that i am eating those 'normal' portions too often every day, and found myself indulging WAY too much in my daily soda habits. so i'm cleaning it up, making an effort and hopefully within a few weeks i'll have some awesome stats to show off!

I agree 10 days out, I eat very little but literally set an alarm to eat because I could see me eating too often

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
