I haven’t posted in a while and I believe it’s because my weight doesn’t consume my thoughts every minute, every hour , day, every week of my life now. I am still very conscientious about because I know the lap-band is just a tool and not a magic pill so I still have to do my part. I had my surgery one year and five months ago and for the first time in my life I haven’t gained a pound during that time. I have lost 80 pounds so far and still looking to loose another 15 or so....The biggest advice I can give someone is the following. The physical part of you will change but the mental part of you will not. My mind still thinks like the old me, it wants to eat everything in sight but physically you can’t. I personally feel if you can realize that and conquer that. You will be ahead of the game because eventually you will be able to eat more but you have to remember it’s just your mind that hasn’t caught up to what’s going on... Remember it’s just a tool and you have to do the work.. I tell myself that everyday...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
