Stalling Sooner Than 3 Weeks...

Recommended Posts

Stall here too!! I was beginning to think I've been doing something off-plan.....but getting all my requirements (Protein and water). Surgery was June 14th and have post op appt tomorrow with my surgeon. Hoping to get some advice there. None the less...this is frustrating!! But I will follow the plan.

I am 1.5 week post-op and while I haven't stalled the lost has slowed down to 1lb/day where as before it was 2lbs a day. I've heard sooooo much about the stalls that I am expecting to run in to them at any point now. I have heard they are pretty normal and your lost should kick back in soon. Personally, I think this is just a resting phase for your body...its been through a lot so this is the bodies way of sayin "I need to take a rest".

So

I was completely prepared to deal with the unavoidable 3 week stall... But wasn't prepared that it may come sooner! Stalled out at about 1.5-2 weeks. Anyone else stall sooner than 3 weeks?

You have just had major surgery. You are swollen and full of IV fluids. You have not had time to have a stall.

Your primary focus right now is healing.

Until you are able to get in ALL of your fluids and Protein reliably, then it may be a very good idea to stay off the scale.

You need to focus on healing, rest, Fluid, Protein, walking, taking your Vitamins and supplements, and being gentle with yourself.

STAY OFF THE scale.< /p>

The weight loss will come.

Happened to me sooner than three weeks, lasted about a week. Your body is trying to deal with what just happened. I'm 24 days post-op and down 17 lbs since surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
