I had RNY on 7/15. I've lost 35 prior & 17 since. I'm doing great with Vitamins & Protein Drinks. I'm doing okay with foods(can't eat as much as recommended bc I'm full or no appetite). But I am struggling to drink all my other fluids each day! How are you getting your fluids in?

It took me over a month to be able to drink the 64 Oz daily. Just keep sipping!

Are you able to stomach broth and sugar free Popsicles? Maybe some Water flavoring like crystal light? Good luck!

I can stomach all fluids. I'm eating scrambled eggs & yogurt, etc. And for the most part I can handle it. I just feel like there is not enough hours in my day for fluids...small slow sips...if I drink too much or too fast I get horrible heartburn especially from plain Water. I guess I just have to keep sipping lol

Just takes time. It took me a while before I could get to 64oz of just Water alone. I was instructed 64oz of Clear Liquids, but I always wanted it to be just water, not counting anything like broth. Now I can hit 80oz daily with no problems. Just have to keep a water bottle nearby. I use one with measurements on the side, 20oz, and just keep taking swigs from it regularly.

It gets easier. I'm about 3 1/2 months out. For me it start at 6 am and I keep drinking until 11. I'm up on100 oz a day. You have to keep drinking. In the beginning I though I would never hit 64. Now before I leave for work I have already had 32.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
