  1. Same here! I'm losing lots! But I have enough to spare...but I just started taking Biotin yesterday. Surgery was 7/15/15...I started noticing hair loss in sept
  2. I had RNY on July 15
  3. I'm just afraid of bald patches. I can deal with thinning or losing, I guess. Another incentive to focus on protein!
  4. I just saw on another post that many people experience hair loss?!?! I have very very thick hair and lots of it...I often joke that it's a lion's mane! I heard it may thin out (which is kinda okay with me)...but how bad is the hair loss? Are we talking bald patches? (I'm only 4 weeks out of surgery)
  5. That's awesome! I wish there was aquatics near me! I think in gonna wait until 6-8 weeks out to do any weight training.
  6. Thanks!! I'm gonna try back at Zumba next week!

  8. I am almost two months post op. I'm walking but tbh I am not consistent...about 2-3 times a week...it has taken me awhile to get energy. I'm a stay at home Mom of 3.5 year old boy/girl twins...they take most of my energy lol...I also watch other children in my home. I miss going to Zumba...I'm forcing myself to walk everyday this week until it becomes habit! But here's my question...when did you start doing Zumba & weight training? My docs said 4-6 weeks after...am I nuts to try it at 4 wks out??!?
  9. I'm almost two months out. My surgeon said I am allowed to eat the whole 4.5 oz container but she stressed that I need to learn when my body is full. I have only been able to finish the whole thing twice...most times I have left about 1/3 of it.
  10. I just had a similar situation with someone who is supposed to be a best friend. It does hurt. It's easier said than done, but try just to focus on you. Once you are on the mend and confident enough I would let them know how you feel.
  11. I had RNY on 7/15. I lost 35 lbs during the 6 week liquid diet(veterans insurance/hospital requires 6wks). I weighed myself earlier in the week and I'm down 17 lbs since surgery. I feel like I'm at a stall in the last week too but my doc and fellow patient said its normal...they said 3-6 lbs a week.
  12. Thanks everyone! I'm glad to hear it gets better!
  13. I can stomach all fluids. I'm eating scrambled eggs & yogurt, etc. And for the most part I can handle it. I just feel like there is not enough hours in my day for fluids...small slow sips...if I drink too much or too fast I get horrible heartburn especially from plain water. I guess I just have to keep sipping lol
  14. Glad to know its not 'abnormal'. Thanks!
  15. I had RNY on 7/15. I've lost 35 prior & 17 since. I'm doing great with vitamins & protein drinks. I'm doing okay with foods(can't eat as much as recommended bc I'm full or no appetite). But I am struggling to drink all my other fluids each day! How are you getting your fluids in? #frustrated
