I have had one heck of a weekend. I ate the wrong things and drank coke. I know I shouldnt beat myself up but the shame of it will help me so my job now is to get back on the wagon and not let this set me back. It is so easy to let this get to me and cause me to feel like I failed even though i know I have not failed but it is still a let down to myself. I just wanted to let you know that I was bad and be honest about it. Back to basics.

Don't beat yourself up. Life is all about ups and downs, temptations, trials etc. every day is a new day. All you can do today is be better than yesterday. It does no good to focus on the past.

Thanks everyone. It is nice to know that I have friends in the same boat as me. I am back to normal now. My brother just moved in with me so I am not used to having junk around me. No more for me now. I had my share and I am good. I know that once you get started it is hard to stop so I am making a conscience effort to repel the urge.

I made the choice to eat badly this weekend as well but I know I can eat well the rest of the week. You are not alone in this weight loss/maintenance world :D

I went through a time when I ate Cheetos for a several weeks! Then I got depressed. Then I got mad stopped and started over. Back on track and headed to goal. I know that this is a journey and I not perfect! However, this tool is gift and has to be used appropriately. I'm on a journey of a lifetime.

I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed my grilled sausage I had over Memorial Day weekend! I also ate the top to a cupcake. And before surgery, I would have thrown my hands up and said that I might as well just eat crappily the rest of the week. But my mindset has changed. I stuck to my diet in the days after and made sure I exercised. I agree this is a journey and I'm not a failure if I eat one wrong thing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
