I'm 11 days post op, and over the last few days I've become overwhelmingly exhausted. I get tired doing anything at all... I take Vitamins & try to drink the Protein Shakes. I usually only get in 30g from the shake...& maybe another 15g from the other mushies... I'm getting really depressed & tired. ????

I am feeling the same. Read on another post someone is walking 4-5 miles a day. I was crazy active prior to this surgery, so this is a big hit. Going to get out and walk my dog this morning to seeing moving creates energy. Good luck to you!

I get tired pretty fast after I exert myself post-surgery (I'm 11 days out now). It's because I'm not getting in enough calories to offset what I'm burning. So I'm following my exercise physiologist's recommendations and taking it easy until I at least get on soft foods. I also was a gym rat the past 6 months, so it has been tough for me to stay away from the gym; I went back today and just walked on the treadmill for a half-hour, and I was a little winded just at my traditional warm-up speed.

So, give it a little time and see how your body starts to respond once you're back eating food!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
