What's your magic number?

Recommended Posts

Wondering what amount got people to green? I was at 8 CCs of a 10 CC band which was way too tight and took me to the red and was brought back down to 4CCs. Now I get stuck occasionally but can eat. I'm seeing a nutritionist to set up a consistent eating plan and working on portion size. Hoping at some point to go back to 5 or 6 CCs but happy right now at 4. What works for you?

Sorry but there is no Magic number. We're all unique individuals so what works for some doesn't work for everyone. For instance I have 3.5cc's in my band and have been at this level since 2 months post op. I'm now 20 months post op and have lost 159lbs. Please don't get caught up on comparing yourself with others or trying to keep up with what worked for someone else because that's just setting yourself up for frustration and disappointment. Keep doing what you're doing, focus on what does and doesn't work for you and follow your doctors instructions and you will do amazing. You already are!

I was just curious what works for other people. I know some people don't even need to get a fill, which I think is amazing. Just thought we could all start a convo about it.

Yeah, no I get it. I had the same questions at first. It's completely normal I was just trying to help because I've see too many people start comparing themselves with others and then they get frustrated and disappointed in themselves and I just don't like to see that. I agree there are some that haven't had a fill and that's amazing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
