Am I doing something wrong?

Recommended Posts

The scale really hasn't moved since November 25. I am almost 3 months post-op. I have lost some inches, but I'm really getting frustrated and worried I'm doing something wrong!

I work shift work...combos of days and nights, 8 and 12 hours. I wonder if that is causing my stall.

I am also worried that maybe my calorie intake is too low, or I need even more Protein. I get so full so fast!

I know that this time of year is not great for me, because there are treats galore at work, and I have eaten a few little tidbits.

Do I need to exercise more? I bike 30 minutes nearly daily...have just increased to 40 minutes. I haven't started weight training, but am bringing my new gym home this weekend!

I know plateaus are normal, but I'm starting to feel like a failure! Ugh! I am so disappointed in myself. Is this normal? I'm trying so hard...

If you have lost 75# in 3 months or so... well, maybe your body needs to sort of readjust and stabilize. To me that sounds like VERY FAST weight loss for a woman, so I would say just keep working the sleeve and don't stress about it.

I didn't quite lose 100# in 6 months. It took me 14 months to lose 150 and get to my official goal. Seems to me you are on track...

How many calories are you getting a day? By 2 months out I was eating between 800 and 1200 calories per day. Are you logging on my fitness pal or some other tracker? You might need to tweak things (add in weights, try interval training, eat more?) if you feel you are not where you want to be. But honestly if you are losing inches you are not doing anything wrong. I lose inches when I stall out. I'm 7 months out and have lost 100 lbs and it gets to be more work. Don't stress out about it at 3 months. You are doing things correctly.

Usually get in between 750 and 950...some days because of the shift work I have almost no intake because of needing to sleep...but I eat later in the night and the morning then.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
