Rough Start But Doing Well

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved with a SIPS procedure on 11/14 and had to spend a couple of extra nights due to some swelling in my colon. They sent me home but I developed severe pain and was readmitted the next day. They found I had pulled loose a couple of staples, fixed me up and started pumping the antibiotics. I spent another 4 days in the hospital. Been doing great ever since. Moving to soft foods on Wednesday. HW 250. SW 230 CW 201 I've lost almost 50 lbs and am just 2 lbs from onederland! I was wearing waist 44s, today I'm wearing 38s. Amazing. Post op 3 weeks I just don't seem to have a lot of energy. I know that will change......I'm ecstatic!

Hey glad to see your doing better :-) and the lack of energy is normal because your body has had major surgery and is recovering , also you are not eating enough yet , it took me a good six weeks before I started to get my energy level back :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
