At 5' 7" and 240 type 2 diabetes has crept into my life recently. My family practice doc suggested looking at WLS to help rid myself of the diabetes. After finding a great surgeon here I had decided on the less invasive lap band given my loss ( 80 lbs) wasn't as great as some. But yesterday after spending some time with him I have decided to have a new procedure and be in a study. It's a Sleeve with single - Anastomosis duodenoileal bypass or SIPS. I'm stoked and ready for surgery Nov 14th!
