Hello everyone,

I am new to BP and I'm just getting myself acclimated to the site. I am 3 months into my 6 month physician supervised diet, and time seems to be moving so slow.

I have tons and tons of questions and I've been reading through a lot of the threads here, and getting a lot of good ideas and advice. Is there anyone else here that is going through the 6 month process? How are you dealing with the long wait time?

I'm really looking forward to participating on this site, because I really don't want anyone to know what I'm doing other than my daughter who is my support.

Welcome! You will find lots of great people with a wide variety of experiences to share. I'm 3 months in...and have about 2 more to go before surgery (I had a trip planned so surgery will be postponed a few weeks from the earliest I could have done it). The time seems to be going fairly quickly to me. Maybe that is because of all the tests/appts/stuff that I've had to do to get the insurance packet ready to go  I figure every pound I lose before surgery is a pound I don't have to lose after...deep right? Anyway, hang in there and the next 3 months will go by faster than you think! Beth

Thanks Beth! I've had quite a few different appointments, and I guess I just haven't looked at it that way. Maybe I should start looking forward to all these upcoming appointments. :) I don't have any this coming week, but I have an endoscopy scheduled for the 24th. I'm sure I'll start to feel better now that I have someplace I can come and talk about things with people who totally understand what I'm going through. Thanks for the kind words of support... Michelle

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
