I am 2 1/2 weeks out of gastric bypass, been doing everything by the book as far as eating, drinking and increasing my exercise. I am so frustrated because I have not lost a pound in over 8 days. I lost 15 the first week plus the 10 I gained at the hospital with fluids and now nothing. I can't understand why living on 800 calories or less along with exercise is not producing any weight loss. Anybody have any tips?

I have increased my exercise, I am starting some mild strength training (yesterday), I have tried to eat some "normal" food and not just liquids as allowed, I am walking 8000-10000 steps a day and increasing my speed. I have just begun to add green tea today to speed up my metabolism. I seems impossible not to loose weight. Looking for some answers and hope.

Relax, recover, keep doing what you're doing and the weight will go. Stay away from the scale. :-)

I have not had surgery yet but it seems to me you've had amazing weight loss so far. Congrats! I don't know that this a stall- perhaps just appreciate that your body needs time to adapt and heal. You will continue to lose. Just look at the incredible steps you've already taken to ensure that you're successful.

Keep up the good work! We all hit a stall at different times. Make sure you are getting in all your Protein, Water, Vitamins and enough calories and it will move. Your body is adjusting and once it is sure you aren't starving it, the weight will begin to move. My stalls always occur when I am not getting enough rest, protein or water.

Hand in there! You are doing the right things!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
