I was sleeved yesterday :). Yesterday was rough between coming out of anesthesia, nausea and pain. I'm doing much better today! Been up walking and finally keeping fluids down! Even tiny sips are tough, but I'm just taking it really slow to make sure they stay down and I get hydrated! It feels so good to get up and walk. The first time out of bed was tough, but after that it gets way easier!! My surgeon stopped by this morning and said I may be able to go home this afternoon. He and the nurses say I'm doing really well :). Well, I'm so happy to have this done and be on the road to recovery!!! I hope you're all doing well!! I'll update again later!

Awsome! So happy for you! The next 3 or 4 days will be rough due to gas and bloating -- walk walk walk, that's the BEST advise I can give you!! By day 4 you feel much better, by day 7 you feel amazing, 30 days out, you'll be a lot lighter and feeling great!! Hang in there, it gets amazingly better!! Good Luck! Remember.... walk walk walk!

Glad you are doing so well. Just remember, every day it will get a little easier. I was feeling like warmed over death for about 8 days, but was fine by day 10. Keep walking and drinking.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
