I'm so nervous! What should I bring? What should I be prepared for?

Being nervous is natural but it will be fine. You really don't have to take anything except clothes to come home in. They will have you up and walking. My surgery was 2 weeks ago and I was terrified but all was good. The first night was tough for me but I had such wonderful nurses that helped me through it. The next day they walked the halls with me and started me on ice chips. Just keep in mind "this is for a better and healthier you" that's what gets me through it

Yeah...it's pretty simple stuff these days (for most)... you may want to bring slippers if you don't want to walk around in the socks they give you... toothpaste and toothbrush, and your hairbrush... you know, some basics...but you are only there a few days, and I couldn't read anything... I was tired a lot...so I watched tv or slept and WALKED... you've got this!!! Congrats!

It's ok. All will be good. I got surgery tomorrow too. I didn't think I was nervous until another poster told me to stop stressing over my non pre-opt weight lost. Sometimes it manifest itself in ways u don't realize at first. Then I realize it's all out of my control. No use in worrying. I know easier said then done but keep busy. I packed my bathrobe, hygiene items, plenty of panties, my slippers, hair products I need and makeup. Seem a lot but it's took up little room in my overnight bag. My phone and other personal things will be with sister. Best wishes!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
