I am in Keswick, just 40 minutes south of Barrie and we have started up a monthly coffee meet and greet. Contact me if you are interested. We all have the band. There is also a monthly luncheon and the next one is Feb 27 at the Pickle Barrel at the Yorkdale Mall. You are more than welcome to come, let me know.

Hi there! I am from Barrie and was banded approximately three weeks ago. I would be more than willing to share my experience. I am also interested in any support group that is out there as well so please let me know when/where that may be. Thanks!

Hi there: I am from Keswick and we do a monthly coffee meeting in Newmarket. Are you interested>

Hi there,

I don't know if this is any help to you but the Mississauga and Area Peer Support Group meets once a month. It is for all SWLC patients. Our next meeting is on Mar 18th and the topic for discussion is "Emotional Eating". For details please check out the SWLC message board.

What is SWLC ?

Wow....thanks for the quick reply! I would love to do both (the coffee in Newmarket and the Mississauga meeting too) as I am a SWLC patient. Depending on the date, time and locations....could you both send me additional information? That would be great! Once I see it I can commit.

Amy

Regarding the SWLC Mississauga and Area Peer Support Group Meetings. If you go to the SWLC web page and go to the message forum. On the index you will see a section for support group meetings. You will be able to see the time, date, location and topic to discusion there.

Hope to see you at the meeting and please introduce yourself. I go by the name of Wanda!
