Hi big. Sorry you're having a tough time. You HAVE to make the wise food choices, even with a band. So make a fresh start and stay away from the bad stuff. You can do it!

Oh man! Halloween threw me off big time. But now I know I have to fight through the craving and get on with it!! Start doing some visualizing - seeing yourself with a small belly!! :tongue_smilie:

A few days off the sweets and you will no longer crave them!!

We can do this!!!

C'mon that's the sugar talking!!!!!

Knock back two big glasses of Water, turn off your computer, and go for a one hour walk.

When you get back look at yourself in the mirror, slap yourself silly, and then swear to yourself that this is a fresh start.

Whatever works do get you mentally back in the game.... DO IT!!!!

Sorry to hear that you are having problems. I wish the band was a magic wand but we both know it isn't one. It's a tool to help you but you have to help it too. You can't sit around eating candy and expect to lose weight. I know it's hard when children are sick and working second shift isn't much easier but you have to take the steps to take care of yourself first and foremost if you want to continue to lose.

Having said all of that, I know that you can do it. Just jerk yourself up and start again. Put the past behind you and look to the future....a slimmer you.

Now, get busy and do it. Do it for yourself.

just like everyone says, the band is a tool to help us. i know what you mean though. i can be hard, but we need some good ol' will power. i find that i don't have any reactions to food yet, not to sugar, meat or fats. so that gets scary for me. i haven't had a fill as of yet so i don't even have any restrictions. i am relying on basic will power. i thought i would have more problems with food than i am. but i am staying away from the junk food and candy especially. good luck

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
