Thanks for the feed back.I just know the sugar monster is really killing my weight loss,I guess I need to check into some sugar alternatives since I know I cannot give up sweets.I will let you know if I come up with any good ones. It is so hard to be patient , I know it took some time to put on all the excess weight so it will take time to come off.

Hi everyone, just found this website. This is really a neat place. I was banded 8/04. I love my band and have a new lease of Life. God is so good, he directed me to my Dr. and to the Lap Band. My mom had by pass surgery years ago and her health is totally bad now, so that surgery was out of the question.

Hi to everyone! I'm a few weeks short of 4 months with the band, and what a difference it has made! I have lost 35 lbs, and two sizes. On my signature, you can see the "stats". My 2nd fill is for tomorrow, and I hope it will be just right--not too much. Pats on the back to everyone, you're working hard and it shows! Cindy

I thought I would be doing better too - 9 weeks and only 28 lbs down. It's kind of depressing since the last time I lost lots of weight I was down 30 lbs in 4 weeks and didn't have nearly as much to lose. Oh well - I keep on working. You gals (and guys) are an inspiration to me so I keep reading and looking at your before/after pictures. Too bad we don't live closer... I need a walking buddy.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
