5 weeks post op

i'm 5 weeks post op as of today (: anybody else 5 weeks or 6 weeks post op? how are you all doing?

i'll start off with me, eh, could be A WHOLE LOT BETTER! im schedualed for a fill on the 16th but i dont think im ready for it yet, not with my stupid nausea, that doesnt seem to go away and im taking my nausea pills, that alone makes me frustrated, other than feeling nauseated, i feel fine. hope i dont have that for the rest of my life, but for some people they have nausea for a few months right? my dr said try eating a pickle, he had a patient that went home one night ate a pickle and felt great! is it cause of the vineger? and the nausea is the only thing thats making me upset, its making me lose hope in getting back to myself and feeling 100% wonderfull ahh! my incissions are healing fine, but have hives around them and itchy dr said he didnt know what was causing it and he didnt know what was causing the nausea. i gotta go #2 (lol sorry tmi) and i cant! maybe thats another reason why my stomach hurts. i'll take a softener when i get home from getting my lip pierced. i had soggy cereal for breakfast yesturday its go lean kashi or something like that, i tried a string cheese yesturday with turkey breast deli wrapped around it had like 3 bites and i couldn't eat it anymore, i dont think i was hungry. i had a chicken leg for dinner with my fav BBQ sauce and i fed most of it to the dog and cats, it tasted good though. today i didnt have anything for breakfast, i cant decide on anything, but im gonna have string cheese, i wasnt too hungry for breakfast, anyways i feel fine other than having nausea, i hope it goes away, how are all you guys doing? :smile2:

are you sure it's tasteless? I'll try it on the weekend lol

I'll be 6 weeks post op on Friday, I haven't weighed myself lately, last I knew I was down 16 pounds since surgery but 36 alltogether. I wish my dr numbed our fills, some people say it takes 2-3 fills to get good restriction

Not fair ): wish I was lucky, wish I never get nauseous. Wish I was 100% awesome

Erin, the #2 problem......If you don't get relief very soon, buy a Fleet enema. It will instantly fix the problem. It happened to me a couple of weeks after surgery. After that, I mix a spoon of Benefiber in a glass of Crystal Light to make sure I'm getting some extra fiber and I haven't had a problem since. I do eat some cheese every day and it doesn't seem to be causing a problem.

I got one from the hospital when I had to have it done there, I went earlier, I knida feel better, but not all the way. cheese helps?

I'm hungry and I can't find anything ugh!

I'm 7 weeks post op and haven't lost any weight over the last two weeks. I've tried to fix this by paying more attention to portion control and I have an appt to go in for my 2nd fill next Monday. I've recently discovered 5 bean salad at Sams, in a large jar, it's a cold vinegary grean been, kidney bean, onion, etc salad. For some reason my pouch really likes it and it's got good protien but low cal. I also finally feel like I can start to exercise now, which I hope will help with the weight pause. P.s.- exercise will also help with other kinds of movements

awesome, I use a small saucer plate, and a lot of the times I have left over and I take 20-30 mins to eat and small bites (: the 5 bean salad...never liked it lol. I'm positive that exercising will help with the weight pause, andd yes haha I know it really does, it needs to kick into gear better tho.

I'd feel like I'd have to go, but when I get to the bathroom I don't anymore, then I go to sit down for a few mins then I gotta again but then I can't grr I took a stool softened too haha bad stool softener! TMI sorry lol

Hi all I am right at 5 weeks post op and 1 week and 1 day since first fill. Doc only did 1/2 cc fill cause i was just 4 weeks post op. My problem is that i have lost only 14lbs. since surgery. I am 5'9 and weighed in at 260lbs day of surgery, now 5 weeks post op i am at 246lbs. When i got the 1/2 fill last week never felt any type of restriction and at times i get real hungry. I am drinking my water like i am suppose to between meals. What am i doing wrong. Help. also is there protein pills out there that u can take, me and the protein powders and shakes are not getting along. Also my energy level is almost not even there.

Erin, I read your post and although I'm only 2 weeks out, I too struggled w/nausea. I was prepared for all this incision pain and gas pain that never came. I was NOT prepared for the *&^% nausea! OMG, I thought I was gonna die, or have to live w/it. What helped me was going off the protein loaded shakes that the RD told me too take. My thoughts are with you...

nausea is sickening ugh! i still get it at 6 weeks post op and i dont know why, it blows ): i was also prepared for the incission pain and gas pain, i never got the incission pain and the gas pain wasnt bad. i also wasnt prepared for the nausea pain, if i knew id be nauseous like this, i wouldnt have done it i dont think! i feel like i have to live with it, i have no idea if its gonna go away or not =/ im not doing protein shakes cause my nutritionist told me to eat my protein instead of drinking it, and it hasnt helped ahh!

thanks (:
