I wasn't always overwieght, in fact I was 130lbs with two children, however, something happened after the birth of my fourth child that caused my metoblism to switch off, and on came the weight to never be reduced. I have thought of both gastric bypass and the band in the past, but my mind was made up for me when my insurance company did not cover gastric-bypass, so I continued to research the band and I am sure this is a better choice for me to really be involved in my weight loss journey and to become healthy again.
