Poor Pamela :w00t:

She paid $50 for a VIRUS!!

FYI anyone who was in that conversation, if you go to download AdAware, make sure you DO NOT "buy" Ad-Ware Pro. Not the same thing. AdAware is FREE.

Good morn, Vi's,

Another busy day in paradise... my remaining cat, Chai (yes, like the tea, because she is so relaxing like the tea), has to have her left canine tooth (or is it a "feline tooth" in a cat?, lol) removed this morning. It's been something we've been putting off pretty much all year w/all the other things going on. Her gum is hard & swollen around it, but it doesn't hurt/bother her. Odd. So out it comes. The vet arrives @ 9am. I can't feed her this morn because of the anesthesia... she's going crazy meowing and circling me like if I don't feed her soon, I might be b'fast!

Everyone make it a good day!

Good morning,Violets..

I got a good night's sleep last night. I downloaded a couple of short Stephen King books onto the Kindle and read for a bit, watched my Golden Girls and then zonked out till 8:30 this morning. Bob has already left for work. He'll be back later this afternoon so we can get the pool heater going. The backyard looks beautiful right now.. so green and pretty with the flowering crab trees in full bloom. I have all the mini-trees sprouting in the flower beds in the front yard again so that is my job today.. to pick out every one of them. That will keep my mind off of the meeting tonight. I have choir rehearsal at 5:30 and the meeting at 7. My future with the church will be decided along with the Pastor's.

Off to get some Breakfast and balance the checkbook. Everyone have a great day!!

I'll be thinking about you, Judy! At least one way or the other, by tonight you'll have a final answer as to what you're doing, right? I know you're ready for that peace of mind.

My poor cat! So funny! She keeps laying on her placemat and meowing as if to say, "Hey lady! Down here! Forget something? food. NOW." Now she's followed me into the office and is laying on my left arm nudging me. I'm going to keep her here in the office w/me so that when the vet arrives, I know where she is/can contain her. Somehow she knows the sound of the vet's RV and always tries to run away and hide!

That + cleaning the house/getting the guest room ready + grocery shopping + making a nice dinner before the concert + the concert + mom spending the night + a little work thrown in for good measure... my day!

I'm having these weird shooting pains in my head. I took some Tylenol. I'm thinking they're barometric pressure/allergy related. I hope!

If it's not one thing, it's 10 others!

Good morning!

I am having an issue with getting paid on my taxing district job and it is driving me nuts. At this point I am ready to just drop it. I really am the kind of person that picks my battles, and really this is not one I want to pick, in the scheme of things it is not that much money, and it is making me feel very uncomfortable. It is not worth it.

I had a really slow day yesterday. Today is really busy.

You know my question that I asked earlier in an email was not answered about where.

Okay off to shower and work!!

Janie, I am gonna post on FB...sorry, that is just the best for me.

Judy, I haven't balanced a checkbook for 20 years. $ comes in...goes out...and usually there is something extra. I hardly write any checks except for the gardener, pool guy and the HOA.

BTW, I put it on FB but didn't post it here, that I am the new Vice President of the Home Owners Ass. where I live!!! That is just funny. Knowing me, like I know me, it is just too suburbia.

already pissed off at coworkers...this happens every year. We are moving next week and now there is all these problems and issues. It is getting ugly already.

Good afternoon, Violets..

Got all the little seedlings plucked and the flower beds look so much cleaner. Now to get busy on the mulch for them. Bob went to check the Water in the pool to make sure it's safe to turn the heater on. I would love to be in it on Friday.

I am getting some positive vibes for the meeting tonight. Got my fingers crossed and hoping for a positive outcome. The people we talked to last night were all ready to fire him on the spot. Guess we made our concerns known to the right people this time. We shall see. Off to shower and get ready for choir.

Off to choir and then the meeting. I have been eating very well since I got back from Texas. Today I've had one string cheese, a WW lunch (4 pts) and that's it. Don't know when we will eat supper. I probably will take some almonds with me to choir.

I didn't weigh when I got back Monday. Didn't want to burst my bubble. I'm going to stay on track and will weigh in at the meeting on Saturday. Hoping not to have gained too much.

Will check back after Modern Family tonight.

Lost another 2lbs this week at WW. Wow, so far 3 3/4lbs in 2 weeks. So I go to WW with a band, I think they don't understand that we still have to have help with our eating.

Good evening, Violets..

Well, we met for 90 minutes. As one of my choir members said when he left.. "he didn't say a damn thing". There is a special meeting with the pastor and then the decision will be made on how to proceed. My decision is easy. June 20th I am done if he stays. I won't go into all the gory details, but suffice it to say I have a major headache and was so glad I was able to be home to see Modern Family and be able to laugh a little.

Everyone have a good evening. sleep well.

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
