Welcome!!

I am being banded on August 26th too!

I am no longer nervous, just excited. I'm on day 5 of my pre-op diet. It is hard, but I am plugging through it. I am trying to address the feelings I have about wanting to eat. I suppose that is healthy. :w00t:

Where are you?

Best of luck.. I look forward to hearing about your success!

Congratulations to both of you! I am 5½ weeks post op and very happy I did this. No regrets at all except should have done it sooner.

Hi Sandi, I'm in Pennsylvania...where are you? I'm not having a problem with wanting to eat anymore, probably because I have been on a 6 month diet (insurance company made me do it  ) But it was a good thing, taught me to eat smaller meals and exercise. My doctor has his patients do a 2 week preop liquid diet. On my last week of that until after my surgery then it's back on for a week or two. But it's so worth it.

I'm not the least bit nervous but I've been having weird weird dreams and not about the surgery but after I lose all the weight the skin on my arms is hanging so low it's dragging on the ground. Weird right.

Good luck Sandi and congrats 123

Do either of you know how to add the tracker and and all those other things that I see on some other post?

Hello and welcome to the site. There is a ton of information here, as you already know. Keep us informed about your progress. Most of the ticker things you see on peoples posts come from tickerfactory.com.

thanks for the info Wootsie. I found the site but I don't know where to find out how to add signatures to the bottom of my response page.

Blue Topaz... I've been having weird dreams the past week or so too!!!! I thought it was unrelated, but maybe it is related to overall nerves. I thought it was work.. could be both I suppose!

Regarding signatures... go to the top of this page, click on "quick links", scroll down to edit signature. You can type in a signature there or copy/paste a link from tickerfactory or one of those sites. That is how it works.

6 more days... I'm hanging in there! half way through the liquid diet phase. I have heard this is the hardest part. We can do it!!

Hi bluetopaz,

At the top of the page under the pictures, look on the far left and it says User CP. Scroll down to where it says settings and options over on the left side of the screen. In that section, there is a place to edit signature. I hope this helps you.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
