Kinda Gross but I'm curious

I had my 3rd fill a week ago and I've only had one BM since then and that was 4 days after the fill. Is that normal? I'm also getting sick later in the day and at night and I think it's because I'm constipated. Does this makes sense to anyone?

Dan~ Are you getting any Fiber in our diet? That could be part of the problem, especially if you are tighter with this fill, you might eating almost all Protein and it is binding you up.

I use Benefiber and love it. I usually put it in my oatmeal in the morning or a cup of tea during the evening. It really helps keep things moving!

Call your surgeon for direction with this. Many would prefer you don't do ANY OTC medicating (even fiber!) unless and until they tell you it's ok. They may have a brand they prefer etc.

And realize men need somewhere around 35g of fiber a day for health. That is a LOT of benefiber at 3g a "dose". So check with your surgeon, what and how much.

Dan,

Getting adequate Water in will help with this too! I had the same problem and felt like I was just too full to eat. I had to be on liquids after my fill and I really downed a lot of water during that time. That seemed to "move" things along for me!

If you are getting enough liquids in, you might want to give your Dr. a call to make sure it isn't anything else.

I had this problem after my surgery. Be sure to check with your doctor. Mine recommended I take Milk of Magnesia. It is gag-tastic, but it worked!

Best to get some benefiber or some kind of fiber to take. You don't wanna get yourself blocked up and end up in the hospital.
