Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread

Hello! I wanted to start up a ongoing support thread for all of us who are actively seeking the extra help from either regular Weight Watchers or most especially Weight Watchers Online.

I do not have the money to fork over for extra fees to attend the WW meetings etc. I also am not sure how many banded folks there are on their message board. I thought this would be a good place to hang out, discuss how well or not well we are staying within our points system, our extra activities and whatnot.

We can share ideas or new recipes, or just anything related to Weight Watchers... and even keep each other accountable.

Help me, I need support!!

If you've found a food product that has made your weight loss journey a lot easier, please post in the new thread "Great Food Finds" in the food and nutrion forum.

I'm so glad to see that some of you are doing WW along with the band. I have been banded for 7 months now and at a plateau. I am going to start WW next week. I always lose weight on it, but always gain it back. This time is going to be different. I'm so excited! Gaye

How much has everyone lost since starting weight watchers on the band?

Question for those of you doing Banded WW: are you use the WW-approved points target or do you pick something smaller?

I did WW (again) for 7 months before being banded and know that my 30-pt daily target is way more food than I can eat at this point. I'm tracking nutrition at SparkPeople instead of WW now so am not quite sure how many points I'm eating, but at 900 cals/low carb/low fat per day, it can't be many.

How do you do it? And if you eat the WW points, is it too much food?

i haven't rejoined yet (i may just count points on my own), but i read one lady used the points that a 150lb woman would use. even though this is not what she weighs now.

I am on WW Online again and I'm on a 31 points per day allowance, plus the additional 35 per week.

I am able to eat all of my points, however I don't always. I don't mind though because along with this I'm using my BodyBugg. I'm burning an average of 3500-3800 cals per day.

One WW point is approx 50 calories. I multiply my daily points used by 50 and that give me my calorie count. I'm always in a huge deficit. Sometimes well over 2,000! That's alot.

I do not want to starve my body. I know that if I do I will blow my metabolism out of whack and it starts going into plateaus. I've been there and this time I'm going to do it in the healthiest manner possible.

WW is also great for ensuring we're getting our nutrients all balanced. It has clicks for water intake, fruits & veggies, lean protein, healthy fats (yes we DO need this!), whole grains, activity, etc.

All of this is necessary for weight loss, maintenance and maintaining a healthy sound body.

All the best!

hi bella i think that would be a good ideal.

Hi Everyone - Is anyone still on WW with the band? I still am. Why don't we start posting again?

I need to start going back to the meetings. I'm paying for it, so I need to either do it on-line or go in. It always helps me when I write down my points values. I think I'm finally at my sweet spot too, so that should make it easier! Gaye

ok i did it i went in and joined weigh watchers today seemed like a good group was there i went to the one for ppl who have alot to loose. team leader was helpful not like the first time i went in awhile back. even met a few ppl there that either had gastic bypass or was thinkin about it or the band. so i will see how this point thing works still gotta set up my on-line e-tool. think i will try and go to 3 meeting a wk or at least 2 until i get the hang of it. as im new to this points thing. tell me does everyone else eat all the points they say you are suppose to.

so now im reading over all the material and i sure will be posting here as im paying for it so i sure plan on use n it.

so how is everyone else doing on ww?
