?? for those who had fill during surgery

Recommended Posts

I was told they puy 3-4 cc's in my band at time of surgery. I've since had one fill of 1 cc. That takes me to a total of 4-5 cc's in a 10 cc band. Still not enough though. Can't wait til my next fill.

I was VERY suprised when at my first fill the PA pulled out 4cc's and put 1 more in for a ttl of 5 only one month after surgery (6/19/09). Still no restriction, only supressed appitite for longer. I still eat, just less then before. I have my next fill in 3 weeks. Wish I had less cc's in my 10 cc band and more restriction.

When I went in for my first fill, six weeks after surgery, my PA was shocked when he pulled out 5cc. He said that was the most he ever had seen. He did a fill of 4.8, which put me at 9.8. Great restriction. Another month later, I went back for my second check up, and he thought we should try a little more. He put in another 1.2cc, which put me at 11 in a 14cc band.

The next week, I went back because I was unable to eat any type of solid food without pain, massive slime and pb'ing, and he took out 0.5cc, so right now I'm back at 10.5cc, which is good. I have enough restriction to make me think about how much and what I eat, without the pb'ing.

I've lost 56 pounds since April 23. :D

I just found out today that my surgeon put 2.2 cc's in my band with a Max fill of 4 cc's. Im only a week out but feel A LOT restriction. I don't think that I will need a fill for quite some time.

I finally had a yogurt for the first time tonight, and after 4 oz I was very full.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
