274. I'm down 5.5 lbs this week. Yippee.

Of course I had my first fill Tues so I've been on liquids and mushies. Hope this trend keeps up as I transition back to real food though. A few more ponuds and my BMI will be under 40.

210.5 -First gain week since surgery and I did it in a big way...gained everything back that I lost last week after my first fill. Time to call the doc and see if I can get in earlier than 7 weeks (between fills)...bummer.

Ughhhh! I'm standing steady at 267lbs. I now have 5.5cc's but still don't feel the restriction, except for one time when I ate SUPER fast and almost lost it. Just "keep on swimming", I guess!

I am at 235.4 today. Had alot of work to do this week, because last weekend, I GAINED 2 lbs between Friday and Monday (Can you say Cold Stone Creamery and TGIFridays in the same day???) Yes, you play, you pay.

I get my first fill next Thursday. Have a good week everyone!

Hi everybody

I am at 283 from 280 but I am not stressing about it. I had a rough 10 days just prior to this week where I was on mostly liquids and very little food and lost 16.6 pounds over those 10 days so now, after an unfill, I am eating real food again and have gained a few back  trying to stay on track - going to workout in the morning.

Love to the group!

Kate

Down 1 pound to 196, but my hairdresser just told me my hair is falling out at an alarming rate. She suggested I get my thyroid check. I know it is from the lapband band and the weight loss. AAAAGGGGGHHHHH  Anyone have suggestion on vitmans?

I think it's Biotin? that people take, but before you freak out know that the anesthetic we all had at surgery will cause Hair loss approximately 3 months post-op. I had hair loss after my hysterectomy also...it will grow back.

WHY?! Can't that hair fall out on our legs, underarms, bikini line or UPPER LIP? Yeah...just don't understand it.

I'm down 1.5lbs or maybe just 0.5. It's been the same so long I can't remember

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
