Friday Weigh Ins

Recommended Posts

Hey you guys!! B_G just told me about this thread and I think it is a great place to keep up with our losses!! I agree, I think it would be fun to see how much weight we can lose as a group!! This is Thursday morning so I will " weight " ( get it ?? ) until in the morning to post mine! It always helps me to have to face someone on how I've been doing on my food choices!

Hey Doodle - Great that you want to join.

What I need from you is the following or your calculations won't work.

Highest weight - (ideally your pre-preopdiet weight) or at least your highest weight within 6mths pre-band. (as we want to track the band weightloss journey)

Last week's weight (if you have it)

This friday (17th April) Weight.

I weighed in this morning (it is Friday here already!) at 127.9kg or 281.4lb. Down 1.7lb or 800g from last week. Total running loss of 9.5kg or 20.9lb! Yay for me! Nearly 10kg in a month!!! If I can keep this up (which I won't be able to) I will be at goal in another five months. hahahah

Good luck everyone for their weigh in within the next 24hrs!!! We are kicking some butt!!! (our own, ironically!!)

Lingling, that is awesome - 20+ lbs in a month is wonderful! And you will keep it up because this has to feel so great, and it will motivate you to keep losing! Keep up the good work!!

224.5 today...not great, but I'll take it. It was an up and down week due to Easter travel. I've got to remind myself that the average for LB is 1.5-2 per week. It's not going to happen fast for me as a Low BMI'er and I need to accept that now or I'm going to go through this disappointed every week.

I'm glad that the fluids from surgery seem to be gone those first couple days when nothing was moving I was a bit disappointed, ok a lot, but now it seems to be gone. The pre-op nurse was very happy wiht the weight loss she had seen in my records but I'm not sure what weight she was comparing. Tuesday I have my post-op with the surgeon and it's at the office he did my initial consultation at and I weighed 328  we'll see what that scales shows next week. But for now my home scale says..............282

My first 30 lbs are gone as of Thursday! I fought with the last 2 lbs for 2 weeks, but got my first fill on Monday and have regrouped and moving forward. I am definately going back for another fill in 2 weeks as I am still not feeling the restriction. There was some change but not enough, glad to know the option is there.

Congrats to everyone,, and the Friday weigh in was a great idea!

Good Morning and happy Friday! I weighed this morning and am down 3.8 lbs!! I am currently 307 EVEN! I am so hoping to be at 299.9 for my surgery day but I dont know if I will make it. I am currently doing my pre-op diet which is just super low carb and a lot of whole unprocessed foods. I am also drinking about 128oz of Water a day, I want to make sure I am nice and hydrated for surgery since I have cruddy veins (and dont want to be stuck more than once lol) and I dont want to start at a deficit and try to catch up. So far so good. I know logically 3.8 is a HUGE loss but I keep thinking man why couldnt it have been a little more, I wonder if there is any number that would make me not do that? Good luck I am eager to see all our successes today!

I am down to 215 today. 2# loss for this week. My dietician said I could possibly gain adding back in the foods this week so I am thankful that it was a loss and not a gain. You have all my other info.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
