(Banded 12/9 - 11.2ccs in a 10 cc band after 7 fills (not a typo)

Great to see how well everyone is doing. I'm down 40, 50 more to go. I've actually been starting to run again, and am up to three miles every other day. On the off days I'm riding my bike to work (8 miles each way). Feels so great to be able to exercise again without back pain. Hoping to get down five more punds by the fourth of July so that I can officially be at the half way to goal mark:thumbup:. Just got another fill yesterday and finally feel a little restriction again. Something seems wrong when you need more than a band is supposed to hold before anything happens. Have a great June everyone!

HiALl,Stuck in a rut. I see the surgeon Wednesday for 6 month check up - feeling disappointed with the stalling weight loss.

Well, went back to basics , with the diet. Am at 238# :thumbup:Finally!!. Had hoped to be at 220, but life happens.:tongue_smilie:

Hang in there Sue. You've lost over 80 pounds!! I know the bad weeks are frustrating, but sometimes you have to take a quick look behind you to remember how much of the hill you've already climbed. You can do this!!

Mommy JD, Thanks for the encouragement1 I am finally feeling positive,. the last 3 months were a bummer. Am finally seeing the scale move!

hi all well i go for a fill tomorrow and seem to need it. i went to my dr today and have not lost any thing in 3.5wks. so i feel the band is needed. im hoping i see the scale move soon. im trying to hang in there. im working on my eating habits more. i picked up a few bad habits along the way like my mind thinks if i hardly eat i will loose more and i get stressed when i dont. so i have to start over and do things right.

China I hear you sister! I was stuck in a "holding" pattern for over a month. I went between 250 and 247. My last fill I weight in at 1 pound over the fill before and my doc got a little agreesive with this fill.

I'm now at 244...not much but in the right directions! I'm over halfway to goal and still truckin along.

I'm down 3 lbs. from last week! The scale is finally beginning to move again. I've scheduled an appt. and will hopefully get a fill on Thursday. I've had 3 and am at 5.5 cc's so far. I don't have any restriction at all. Anyone else experiencing this with that much fill?

Heya Veronica,

First off congrats on the 3 lbs lost in the last week and congrats to everyone for your weight losses! It's great that we all are continue to make progress no matter how slow or how fast we do it. For me this week was just a 1 pound loss. Still a loss but not as much as I would have liked.

I had my 2nd fill about 2 months ago and am scheduled for my 3rd fill this coming monday. Right now I am at 4 cc's so far and I will be telling my doc to go at it aggressively. Like you Veronica I feel like I have practally no restriction. After I had gotten my 2nd fill I felt good restriction for like 3 weeks and then what seem like all of a sudden I was getting hungry sooner and eating more. Granted I still cannot eat like I did before surgery but it sure does seem like a lot of food at times. Best of luck with your fill I am sure it will help you and I sure hope mine helps me as well

hi all as i said before i got a fill 2days ago and its going good. i kind of droped the ball and stop posting like i use to but, im back now and back on track. i go to a over-eaters ann. support meeting tonight i feel excited about that. seems like i lost my will power for a minute there. i felt like i failed cuz im not losing like i thought i should. but, im ok now if its slow then so be it as im in it for the long haul. well that is how i was feeling. tell me is or was anyone else feeling the same.

Thanks Pete. I'm glad to see you still on the board... and still losing and encouraging your fellow "losers." You're doing fantastic.

HI ALL, Veronica, I know what you mean- I, felt little restriction until my 4th fill (4 in 5 months) . It isn't in the 'sweet spot' they talk about :unsure:but enough to work. I expect to need a few more fills before the 1 yr anniversary. The surgeon said the 1st year, 6 fills is not unusual.:)

WHO is updating the Spreadsheet? I thought we only had to report on this and 1 person was doing the updating ?

Lost 0# in May and 6# by June 14, now have lost 2# more am at 236#

Gee, 11 more # Which will take a while- and I won't be morbidly Obese! LOL:laugh:

How :unsure:many cc:s do most of you have in your bands to be at the "sweet spot?" I've had 7 fills, and am now pretty close to my sweet spot with 11 ccs in a 10 cc band. (My doc says it can actually go up to 13 and not to worry about it). I didnt have any restriction at all for the first 4 or 5 fills until it was over 10 in a 10 cc band. Still surprised to hear Pete say he gets restriction with 5 ccs. Isnt it weird how much variation there can be?
