I think there is a noticeable difference. If u pardon my terms, but, the back rolls are not as puffy as they were and your stomach is a little smaller. I know you probably was expecting a drastic change, but it will come in time, and you may still have a lot of lose skin left over. Your picture is a reminder of myself. I have a lot of storage in the abdomen area as well as back fat. I decided to start trying to firm up those areas now before my surgery (jan. 15) and stay in that routine til I reach my goal wt.

How do u feel in your clothes? Have u gone down in size? The numbers on the scale is great. Don't over think it too much. Good luck:thumbs_up:

There's a difference. It's just a pronounced as you want it to be. I'm sure your clothes fit differently. Your reaction is very similar to my own. I've lost a considerable amount of weight according to the scale. I've dropped a number of dress sizes. I'm constantly being complimented on my new size. But when I look in the mirror, I see no significant difference. We are own harshest critics. Keep up the work you will soon see it too.

I can definitely tell a difference. Your hips look a bit narrower, there isn't as much of a crease at your waistline and your tummy is a little higher. I am shaped very similarly to you, although I am heavier. And while I can see some change in myself, it's really my pants size that shows the difference.

Also, did you take measurements before your surgery? If not, be sure to take some now for comparison later. There's nothing like concrete numbers for proof of shrinking!:tongue2:

Your waist looks smaller as does your chest, from what I can tell of the current picture, it's just showing a little...

While you're at it take pictures of your hands, you'll be surprised how they change.

I see a big difference in your legs and butt. You probably just have some loose skin and that's why you can't tell. Definitely start taking you measurements. You will see a difference. I have been taking mine since surgery. I do bust, hips, waist, legs, and arms. Anytime I feel like I haven't lost anything, I just look at those numbers.

I can see it around the hips.

Take heart too that the first weight loss, whilst its very exciting, really doesnt change you as much as your last 20lb will. Sad but true. I can lose 5lb now and I'd be down an entire dress size, it took me 35lb at first!

Also, your body just doesnt change the way you imagine it will and the way before after articles lead you to believe it will. I've gotten to goal and I'm still basically the same shape as I was fat. I have fat in the same areas, its just smaller and smoother all over. But definitely the same body.

Thanks everyone... I am starting to see what you see. I'll focus on the clothing sizes, measurements (my doctor took them so I will have to ask if they can take them again for me) and just on my great progress...

and I'm going to start saving for my Tummy Tuck and boob job!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
