Merry Xmas everyone! I was cooking Breakfast for my family this morning, and wondering if I will EVER be able to have bacon again some day. Even half a piece would be heaven. I don't want to find out what I shouldn't eat the hard and painful way. Can I learn from some of your experiences? Share please:drool:

I don't really eat breakfast foods because there isn't much I think I could eat... however, you could possibly eat crepes with some soft fruit in them (totally a calorie/carb filled choice!)

Otherwise, maybe an omelette? I have a problem with eggs, but I think it's just me.

Maybe oatmeal, but that sounds totally unappetizing! A fruit cup? Cold Cereal for sure...

I think I could eat bacon, but haven't tried. I would pat the grease out very, very well if I were to try it.

Breakfast is tricky!!! Sorry!

If you're going to a place that serves all food all day (like Denny's) get a salad or grilled fish or something. I can't eat much in the a.m. but when I do, it's almost always dinner or lunch foods.

I eat turkey bacon as I did before, without any problems. You should be ok with regular bacon as well.

It depends on your restriction. I have had 3 fills and am losing slowly but can eat anything if I chew well and watch my portions. Each surgeon has his or her own spin on "ideal" (and each bandster, for that matter) but my surgeon's goal is for me to be able to eat essentially anything, but in more "child sized" portions, and lose weight slowly over the next several years, then keep it off the rest of my life. So far, it's working. Except things with carbonation (which I CAN consume, but it isn't worth the time and trouble because they hurt and make me burp) I haven't found anything, including white untoasted bread, that I can't eat.

I have had bacon and did not have a problem with it. It was crisp and seemed to go down well.

On almost all days I have oatmeal for breakfast. I add, honey, Protein powder and Benefiber. It goes down well and keeps me full. I am not a huge breakfast eater and it is one of the things I can stomach at 6am!

I teach and we have a really early lunch, 11am, and I have to get in all of my calories and Protein, so I eat breakfast early, so I have time before my lunch to let it all digest!

I had 2 pieces of bacon for breakfast this morning. That was all I had, and it took me a while to chew it, but it was very tasty! I don't make it often, it was just a special occasion where we had a big breakfast. There were English Muffins and eggs too.. but a couple slices of bacon was enough for me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
