So...tomorrow is my surgeon appt....is that a long one? Anyone know?

Sorry if I am asking lame questions..but I went to the orientation last year so I forgot most of the important stuff like this. I think I meet a Psych doc too but not that I know of tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a good one.

Sherri congrats on the date :scared2:

Becca I hope your apt. gose well.

Stacey you usely get a letter confirming your referal within a week or two of it being sent by your PCP. I know that I called and asked for the earliest "orientation" date!

I am doing much better day by day. I saw Chrissy at the hospital last night and she was looking well. I talked to her tonight and she was notfeeling good after the long ride home  Hopefully a good sleep and her heating pad will do the trick. I will keep you all posted!

Wow, great news on here today! Tamara, so proud of you...you really worked hard for that fill and its nice to see you rededicated to the journey! Congrats!

April, you are doing awesome! It's nice to see you post on here, I have met you at group but don't see you on here that much. You did an awesome job last month sharing your story.

I think Richmond will contact you once they get the referral. If I remember correctly it took a couple weeks...

Keep happy everyone!

Thanks!!! Good to be back on here...always busy so don't know how often I can post but wil be in and out as often as I can. I was real nervous last month so thanks...maybe I'll do it again and plan a little better for it next time

TAMRA: You did it!! Wow you lose fast weren't you 233 last week?? LOL. Congrats!! Funny about the gum good thing it was Dr. Baggs;-) I heard Liz really let someone have it when they came to the pre op class with gum!! She didn't smile or laugh she threatened to cancel the surgery!! :-) Ah Tamra how is the restriction? I might as well be dead if I was 6cc's. Hurts to think about it. I am still 5. something cc's and don't want to be any tighter right now. I am getting looser but I really hated 5.5cc's so I am gonna try to hold off on a fill until late next month!! Let me know how it goes.

CHRISSY:

Congrats!! HOpe your up and around soon!!

APRIL:

How did the 8cc's come off??

Everyone else happy almost Friday!!!

What do you mean by "the 8cc's coming off" did I say something about that??? Or did you mean something else?

And then the next question.. what if I drop soo much weight.. will they still perform the surgery??

Doc Fisher told me if I get down to 190 (BMI 32) He'd still do surgery. He explained that it's not just a weight-loss tool, but also a wait maintainance tool.

A big Hello to everyone! I've been MIA for too long! It's been difficult to get to the computer lately. Trying to get a routine back with the gym etc, throw the new house and the dog in the mix (no, don't throw the dog!) and it's busy busy!

Chrissy, I'm so glad surgery went well. You're gonna rock that sleeve!

Gotta get to work, I'll try to read more and respond more tonight. Miss you all!

I also snacked on some cheese the day before, and had some hot and sour Soup around Tuesday so I didn't die, but let me tell you I am STARVING TODAY!!!!!! I cannot wait to eat Saturday. I am not sure if I have restriction yet since I haven't ate anything but I did get full off my bottle of water and 3 bites of Jello last night thats a good sign yea?

This morning the scale said 220.3 I cracked up!!!!! I havent seen my scale in the lows like this in YEARS!! omg!! I just wonder if Ill gain starting tomorrow when I stop starving myself..lol...

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!! I love having the day off from school and I took it off yesterday too with a Dr note from Baggs :scared2:

Okay so I had a random thought

Baggs had a hard time hiting my port, and he said it took several times....what if he never got it and the Fluid really just went randomly in my body?

LOL

Tamra - don't worry if the surgeons can tell by how it feels when they put the fill in if it is going in right. You should feel restriction and yes you probably will gain a little after being on liquids for a week - sort of like at the beginning when we go from liquids to solids. But it should stabilize and start going down again if you eat your Protein and don't starve yourself. Remember if we don't get enough calories after a while our bodies think we are starving and hold on to the calories we do eat.

I was at 206 this morning - can't wait to lose 7 more to get under 200 - which I haven't been for at least 20 years.

Glad to see you back on here Heather. Have things settled down with the house?

Good Evening all........

What a week!! Everyone was out on vacation but me and I have worked late a couple nights this week.

PAM:

Sorry I couldn't come tonight I just got off an hour ago. You have lost close to 20 pounds in 7 week?? Ah I am jealous!! YOur doing great.

TAMRA:

Yea after liquids I gain back quick if I don't stay strict. I usually go down 5 quick after a fill than sorta settle in and have to fight to lose. I am sure he it your port.......LOL. I have been bruised a few times too. I tease him about bruising me and leaving scars (surgery scars)..........he says I jinx him when I talk about it!! :-) When I went to the fill center they had a hard time finding my port so it is all good!!

ANNALYN:

I am so sorry about surgery. I also ended up in ER two weeks ago for breathing problems. Scary stuff I hated it. They said I was just stressed out.......really?? I don't buy that totally. They did referr me to a respiratory therapist but I have to wait two weeks and put me on anti anxiety meds. I am still having problems and I am sorry it totally sucks. But yea you wouldn't want surgery with those problem. The recovery room was hard for me since the anethesia gave me breathing problems too.........I totally felt for you when I read your post.

Good weekend all with good choices. :-)

Good Evening Everyone,

So I had my appt with the Dr Fisher today and surprise...I got a fill. I now have 6cc's in my band. We had a great appt and he told me I was doing great and not to expect large numbers. He said my weightloss rate was just fine. I am so happy and motivated. I must say that I hate liquids. It was so hard with the fam eating solids and my favs for dinner. But oh well, plenty of time for that. I move to full liquids tomorrow.

I need to go change me ticker. I weighted in at 193.3lbs. I can't wait to see the 1-80's.......I hope to see it my next week. So that's my mini-goal...189lbs by the end of next week.

TTyL.............Night, night...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
