Hi everyone, it's been a while since I have been on here and it looks like regular postings have really slowed down. Once I stopped getting the email ticklers that there was a new post in here it was hard to come back and check things out. I need to check out this new format to get used to it. Reflecting this past could days has been rewarding; In January I started this journey and had surgery in April. To date I have lost 105 pds...a whole new me!! It has really slowed for me and its getting hard to push back from the foods that I can now tolerate since surgery. But I am getting refocused and looking to do 50 by 50!! That's 50 pds by my 50th birthday in August...we shall see! Here is to all of you--I hope all is well with everyone!

Congrats Stacey! I was told the same thing and the thought of having the surgery cancelled kept me focused. Just stick to the diet and get some exercise and you will be fine. Don't weigh yourself everyday, I would go every 3 days otherwise you get to obsessed about it. Congrats!

All is well here too. Just not much to say...lol I remembered yesterday that I never did have a 3 month check up; they called and scheduled a phone appt but Robin never called...oh well, I am doing great so its all good I just don't want them to think I was the flake... I am still losing weight and am at 93 pounds lost since end of January. I am trying to bump up my walking to get 7 more pounds done by 10/26...that would put me at 100 in 9 months! I am so happy that I started this journey and am thankful to everyone of you as you have each had a part in this. I am doing another 5k walk this Sunday in Downtown Sac; It's a fun way to get more walking in. Its a breast cancer walk with Am cancer society, you can sign up that day if anyone else is interested.

Pam, have you made the oopsie rolls? It's a roll that's made without flour, no carbs? I am going to make some and see how it goes, it sounds like its a good replacement for bread, there are even receipes to make a pizza dough. Google it if you haven't tried it!

Hi Shannon, welcome back to the focus of health! The diet worked well for me for the opposite reason, it wasn't hard to keep food around that was on the diet, I couldn't do all the planning and worrying, I needed something that fit into my lifestyle. This diet has lots of options and I tend to find a meal that I like and repeat it over and over. But this is why we are all here, there are lots of ideas here and everyone is willing to share and you can pick what works for you. Hope to see everyone at Point West.
