  1. Thanks! I just sent them a join request. That will be really helpful!
  2. Argh, my post disappeared! I am 4 years out and was very successful until I had back surgery and let myself slide. I will be happy to help you with any questions!
  3. I am 4 years out so I will be happy to help you out! I was successful with it until I had the back surgery and then I let myself slide. But no more!
  4. So sorry to hear about the erosion. I know that is seriously painful! I'm glad you are happy with your sleeve, I truly believe it is a wonderful tool. Even though I have experience regain, I do not see it as a failure. I made the bad choices, not my sleeve! Since I am no longer in CA and no longer with Kaiser, I feel a little lost as far as support goes. I found a group on Meetup, but they have cancelled the last two meetings. So, I am going to keep looking. It's crazy how quickly you get spoiled to the ease of use with Kaiser. It's truly a one stop shop!
  5. It's definitely not a miracle cure. But I don't regret it in the least. I would be even bigger had I not gotten it when I did. My problem is when I am bored or upset, I eat. My head figured out that I can eat a LOT of little stuff. With meals, I still have restriction. I just need to stop with the smaller things that chew down to nothing. I am recommitting to eating better and am optimistic that I can stick with it. I really struggle with depression anyway, and this has made it worse. I am also working on figuring out the whys of my eating habits. I think that is going to be a very important step.

  7. I am the same way. I had the sleeve and actually hit my goal, but had to have spinal surgery and it slowly started to creep back up. We moved from CA to NC and it has just continued. I am having a hard time remotivating and staying with it.
  8. Just wanted to say hi to everyone! I was sleeved in SSF on 11/29 and am doing great! I went back to work this past Monday and am really happy to have done this. I want to come to the Point Richmond support group next time, but cannot remember when it is. I hope to see everyone soon!
  9. From what I have been told, the bullets are not 100% whey Protein so it won't be absorbed as efficiently.
  10. Another idea is the add on buttons that you can use to make pants bigger....just use them to go smaller. That works for a drop of several sizes. I got a package of nine buttons for $10.
  11. Just a quick update..after reading this post, I ordered these and they came today. I love them. One thing you do have to be careful of and it warns you on the box is not to get too much on your tongue at once. I had a little bit go up the back of my nose and OUCH! I won't do that again, but I am definitely using these from now on. They are awesome.
  12. I had the opposite. I have always been 5'2". When they measured me at the surgeon's office, they told me I am 5'3" and a half. Really? Wow.
  13. I am so sorry to hear it Nicole, I have been there and it does completely turn your world upside down. Ali, the best part is it get me out of our lame christmas party! BONUS!!!

  15. I will, I lucked out in the timing. I will have Thanksgiving and that Friday off with pay and then surgery on the following Monday. Figure a month off to recover, that puts me back after Jan. 1. That works for me. We don't really do any big celebratory meals for holidays since my family all lives with me, it's kind of just another day, so I won't feel left out or anything. It's really a perfect time for me.
  16. Thanks Ali! Funny story, this morning I got on the scale and it was in a funky mood! I weight 20 lbs less than I did at the doctor! I was momentarily thrilled and then reality hit and I got back on them. No dice. I didn't lose 20 lbs. Thanks Lee! I am really excited and nervous about it. But I have 6 weeks to get used to the idea that it is really happening.
  17. Hi All! I wanted to jump in really quick to tell you, I finally got a surgery date! I will be getting the sleeve on Nov. 29. I go back to Dr. Le on the 23rd and then meet with the anesthesiologist. That afternoon, I am going to the pre-op class. The one caveat to the date is, I have to continue to lose before the 23rd, or he will cancel the surgery. So I am looking for anyway to keep myself more motivated! When is the next support group in Sacramento? I really like that one.
