Jill -

I have a wide variety of friends (both overweight and thin) and I haven't noticed any particular pattern in sexual appetite with either. They are all over the board.

*gasps* Randy! What would your kids say if they saw that?!

It's just odd to see a post like that from a guy called My Kids Dad LOL

And I thought Heather was the horndog. Are you from the same neck of the woods as her? Drinking the same Water??

I'm sorry Jill, but excuse me while I bust a gut laughing.....from this side of THIS fence that is exactly OPPOSITE of what goes on. I'm the one that is over-sexed. It's just that everyone is different...

My hubby could have posted this. Jill, your pattern absolutely does NOT hold true for me. Much to my husband's distress. :cry

*chuckle* well, it was a theroy ;) From my own personal observations.

As I said, I'm a student of sexuality. I pay a lot of attention to innane details that people wouldn't typically recognize. This is just something that - especially from this thread - caught my eye.

I could take it or leave it..

I think

I once went almost 5 years without it.. by choice and had no desire to do it..

Now I go out maybe once a month and thats fine by me.

Well, dh and I have always had similar libidos. We both love it, but I have found that the better our relationship or the more amount of time we have for each other during the day, the better and more frequent the sex is. I do have friends with problems in their desire/frequency, but I've noticed almost without variation that it points to a problem in their relationship. When they begin to communicate better, relate better to the others' needs, become less selfish, etc., "magically" the sex gets better. I have a friend who's been married for close to 20 years and just recently she and her dh "turned over a new leaf" in their relationship -- he began to treat her as a gift and a blessing -- and he fully confessed to not doing so prior to that in their relationship, and she said the sex is better than it's ever been in her life.

I have also found in my personal circle of friends that if they had pre-marital sex, the carry-over guilt from that affects their physical relationship in marriage for years and years to come. That would not, I don't think, be the case for couples who don't believe pre-marital sex is wrong. I believe there is a spiritual component to this.

(phew) sorry for the novel!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
