I weighed in today at home and in 10 weeks I'm down 30 pounds. :thumbup:Who would have believed it? I'm just a smidge from Onederland. I haven't weighed this little in 20 years. Hardly recognize myself in the mirror. Simone

Can someone tell me how to edit my tracker? Thanks

Double click your ticker. It will take you to the web site. Put in your pin, secret code and hit the update weight data button. (You know I am having to do this while I write so I give the proper instructions)

Scroll down to current weight. Enter your weight and the date - I have no idea why we put in the date but I do.

Click on next. You are done, you can exit. Next time you go into Lapbandtalk.com your new data will appear.

Hope this helps. Debbie

Thank you Debbie - It's fun to actually see the weight loss on the ticker. :) Simone

We are doing so good! I bought size 10 pants this weekend!! I actually look skinny!!!

down 45lbs today... I am running out of clothes to wear

35 lbs gone! YAY!

I am down 18 lbs.

Hit a hiccup in the road last month. Husband had ventricular fibrillation and was in the hospital for a week, which 2 1/2 days of that he was sedated and the doctors kept telling me that once they turned off the sedation they did not know how long it would take for him to wake up. Was not a case of overeating, was hardly eating and minimal sleep. Your body stops burning anything at that point. I thank his co-workers for their quick work and thinking that gave him the excellant recover he has had.

My WLS doctor has been great and gave me a 1cc fill at my 2nd fill appt instead of the normal .5cc to help kick start it along again.

As I always say, keep smiling, you never know what tomorrow will throw you.

Kiz, you have a Realize Band also. When I asked the size I was told they don't have sizes. I had 5.5 cc the first fill and felt great for a while. Then I noticed I was hungry. I didn't trust my body and it got worse and I am at a plateau. I have been stuck for two weeks. I finally emailed my Dr and he authorized a fill, thank goodness. I am waiting for the insurance to give me authorization then I will make my appointment. My Dr makes me do the Floura type of fill and only two Radiologists at USC University Hospital do fills. I am hanging in there but I don't think I will ever make it under 210.

Did they have trouble getting the needle for your fills?

Anyway, I was just shocked that you knew your size and have had so many fills. I could kick myself for not listening to what I knew was wrong. I didn't assert myself and the Dr Office people who answer the phones are asses and told me I have to see the Dr before I could ask for a fill.

Because I am HMO I assumed have to get my Dr, need a visit, to get an authorization for the Surgeon. Then visit the Surgeon, then ask for a fill, then they have to authorize the fill. Now I find out I can email my request. At least I was able to skip a couple steps. But of course the insurance company is dragging their feet and now with Christmas I won't get in to for my fill until after the first of the year. I am so bummed. OH did I mention, The Hospital won't make the appointment with the Radiologist without authorization first. YUCK :tongue_smilie:

Hi Debbie.

1. The Realize Band only comes in one size - 9 cc. Maybe they meant you could only get the one size, l I hope.

2. No, not at all, thankfully. It's been very quick and painless. I don't want to jinx myself, but there's never been an issue with the needle. I'm amazed at how quickly and easily they hit the port.

3. The upside to having to pay out of pocket is not dealing with the insurance for my care. My doctor allows one year of free fills, and after that, I think they run around $200, so he's very serious about getting the self-pays to goal weight in a year's time.

Since I don't have to get insurance approval, I got an in-office fill without a fill appointment last week. The doctor's office makes the hospital appointment for the fill clinic, which is done under x-ray. They always do the first fill that way.

The second fill, I had in-office with a fill appointment. A week after the second fill, I could tell I wasn't at the restriction level I hoped to have, so they made the clinic fill appointment for me. They checked the restriction before the fill, and I was still open.

After the third fill, I could really tell a big difference, but after a couple of weeks, I felt I could use a little more Fluid in my band. I had my regular four week appointment already scheduled, and when I was in the office, I said I didn't quite feel like I had enough restriction. She pulled the fluid out of the band, and it checked okay, so no leaks, and she gave me a 1 cc boost. So far, I feel like this is the perfect amount for me. I'm not restricted so much that I can't eat pretty normally, but a little slower and a chewed well, but I'm not pb'ing on bread, rice or chicken (three things I've tried since my last fill).

As an aside, you're doing FANTASTIC with your weight loss. I'm sure you're feeling like you're not getting all the benefit from the band that you know is possible. After that third fill, I finally knew what the band could do for me, and I that's where I want to stay. I couldn't believe how long I could feel completely satisfied with such a small amount of food.

Good luck to you, and hope your doctor gets you to that sweet spot before too long!!! :tongue_smilie:
