How are the banded Notorious Novembers???

Recommended Posts

The only big pill I take is my Calcium and I am going to switch to chewable. I understant that most meds come in liquid for or maybe you can use a pill cutter. I am down to only 3 pills and the suppplements so I am very excited. also just remember that they will disolve so you should be OK but you might want to call your doctor.

Please help! What do you guys do about taking your medication?? I just got my first fill and am scared to take my pills!! Before the fill I had no problem swallowing them but am afraid to now:confused:

I take the calcium citrate petites, and they go down ok. Otherwise, all my pills are either chewables (Flintstones!) or very tiny and have been no problem. Check with your local Vitamin Shoppe or store to see what they offer in chewables or small/petite sizes. I do take 4 petites rather than 2 of the regular size, but it's worth it.

Good luck!

Be patient with yourself. I am sure you will look great at your wedding and no matter how much weight you loose before then you will be thinner than without lap ban. I wish you much happiness.

My doctor said anything around the size of a pencil eraser is fine, anything else needs to be broken down to that size. Now, if you have controlled release pills you need to do something else, cause you can't break them up--it ruins the release. I take chewable vitamins...and it took me three different kinds before I could find one that didn't taste totally nasty. I use the Centrum chewable in orange, and the viactiv chocolate calcium chews.< /p>

33 lbs in a month and a half is

fantastic!

Congrats on the weight loss....33 is great. As of Monday, I'm down 27. I haven't had a fill yet but today I felt like I could eat my way thru the office. Not sure if it's stress hunger because my tummy wasn't making noises. I'm going to call tomorrow to schedule an appointment. I think my "unfill" luck has run out.:)

Congratualations on your weight loss. I had my first fill yesterday and it went well. I know about the hunger I was started to get very hungry. My doctor does small fills so I expect it will take a while for me to experience the "sweet spot" but the weight is coming off slowly and I can't be dissapointed with that.

Hey everyone. :) I got my 2nd fill today. I can really tell a difference now. :D I hope this one works really well. I think it will. I wasn't getting notifications that the boards were moving so I've gotta get caught up.

How often does everyone weigh in? Do you notice, if you do it daily, it can vary 3 to 4 lbs up and down--or is my scale just a piece of crap?

I do it once a week!

I need to. As you can see I am not losing compared to everyone else. I just started to this week with the last fill. But I am really struggling this week with being hungry and not over eating. So I am hoping on monday when I get that 4th fill I should be there.

I can't believe how much difference this 2nd fill has made. I had half a piece of pizza for Breakfast (i know, not the healthiest choice), and 5 chicken nuggets for lunch and i am still satisfied. it took me over half an hour to eat 5 nuggets LOL that is so incredibly awesome. That was at 11:30 and it's 1:40 already and still satisfied. I figure i'll need a snack around three (it's a habbit more than anything) but i have cubed cheese i can have a couple pieces of it and i'll be fine. > This is exactly how i was hoping it would work. They're right about sometimes a fill not really helping until you get it closer to that sweet spot. I'm sure i'll need another one in a few weeks, but if this one helps me for the full 2 or 3 weeks, that would be absolutely perfect. :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
