I was banded Aug.13th and I think my first fill is sept.23rd.But I have been able to eat anything I want. I eat just like I did before the surgery.

I hope my fill helps me or that I have not ruined something.

I was banded on the 1st of August, lost almost 10 kgs up from pre-op to the 3rd week after surgery, then lost next to nothing after. Got my first fill of 2cc on the 5th of Sept and have lost just over another kilo since then.

when you say you can eat anything you want, what sort of quantities are we talking about here, i am not even 4 weeks out yet, and i hope i dont get my huge ravenous appetite back to early. at this stage i am just to darn scared to eat anything larger than a cup full, i measure all meals out and only conume that, but i find that it take so long to eat it after you have to chew chew chew, that i kind of lose intrest in it, i have to say though that since i have to chew and eat so slowly, it is amazing just what flavours diff foods have, for eg, i am completely off chicken at the moment, i used to woof it down so quickly, i never actually took any time to experience, the mouthfeel, and taste, and once chewed into a discusting grimy paste, i have to say, it is something that i can definately do with out. good luck to all

My Surgery was August 12th.

I have lost 6KG. I currently have no fill in the band. My fill date is on the 22nd. Right now it feels like I havent even had surgery.

I think I need to be more careful what types of food I eat. I wish I could get my fill before the 23rd because I'm scared I am going to start gaining the weight back.

I Hope everyone is doing well and all those that were having fills are coping. I have now lost 13.65kgs and I am feeling great. I have my 2nd fill on the 14th October and I am feeling a bit hungry at the moment so I am hoping that the next fill will stop the hunger feeling.:bolt::thumbup:

Not doing too good. I went for my Dr.'s visit on 9/26 and gained 2lbs...

I found out what type of band I had - Lap Band AP Standard that hold 12-14cc's. He said I had 3 CC's already in and this fill makes four CC's. I came home and cried. I feel very discuraged especially when people ask me how much weight I lost.

The doctor asked me why I'm gaining weight and I told him I guess I need a fill and he said "this the band is only a tool." Which I know he's right but I am trying. He told me my goal for weight loss is about 80 more pound (I lost 20lbs before surgery).

I have been working out at the gym 3-4 days a week (cardio 40 min and strength training 20 minutes). Help!! comments/suggestions welcome.

Annabell dont get discouraged, you know that the weight will eventuallay come off, i know its hard, but dont despair, just keep going with your work out regime, eventually it has to work , if you know you are doing all the right things, and making healthy food choices it will happen.

I was banded on 19th august and have lost 11.6kg(25lbs) am due for my first fill soon, but to be honest i dont know if i need one yet. i still have not got my appetite back, it has not raised its ugly head yet. and i have been losing at a steady pace, so i will see what he says, but i dont want to use all my band up if i dont need it now, because down the track i may just need those extra couple of mls.

I was banded August 19, 2008. I lost most of my weight preop. I lost 12lb after surgery, and 4 lbs after my first fill on 09-22-08.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
