Sharp pain near port site...?

Hey everybody I was banded 08/21/08 so I'm 17 days post op and 13 pounds down! I feel great but, I'm starting to get this sharp pain near my port incision.... is this normal ??

If I were you I'd call my doc on Monday and ask if it's normal for you...depending on where he placed your port and what happens with most of his patients! If it's nothing, GOOD! but better safe than sorry! And congrats on your 13 pounds down! :shades_smile:

I also had pretty sharp pains. I call my doctor and she explained that it was probably the stitches dissolving. It felt like a needle was poking me from the inside. It also only happened when I sat down. Not too fun, but the pain is gone now.
