Who Here Is On Twitter?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone:

I think there must be only ONE other person who's undergone WLS and is a fellow Tweeter (That stands for user of the Twitter.com website BTW) and he's a Lap Bander.

Just to be in the balpark of people on Twitter who've undergone weight loss, I've had to settle for people who've done so WITHOUT undergoing WLS.

So this begs the question WHERE FOR ART THOU FELLOW WLSers??? Where (Not to mention WHY) are you hiding from Twitter?

Twitter is a GREAT way to communicate. It's also a GREAT tool for announcing meetings and other activities too.

Don't have an account yet? CHECK IT OUT - twitter.com (I don't work for Twitter nor do I have ANYTHING to gain (Except some fellow WLS followers of course :P ) or lose from posting this, so this isn't a spam attempt (If it were, it'd be a terrible one at that) so GO CHECK IT OUT!!)

You can also see MY Twitter page in my sig below or the link to it on my blog page also in my sig below.

See ya on Twitter!

Cheers :o

If your looking for wls people we're right here Why would we want to go to a differant site when we have a great forum right here? you sound to me like your advertizing. If the other wls people aren't there and they are all here why not just stay here?

This is freaky. I've never heard of Twitter until today when I was reading a very old Newsweek in the waiting room of the doctor's office. Then I see this post!

Anyway, I don't see any particular need to be on it or that somehow it will help me communicate with WLS patients better. Sorry.

I looked at the website, it looks like the highlights of it, are the side features of some programs I use already, and don't like. The constantly updating what you're up to, seems really weird to me. Maybe the generation below me likes it, but I don't know who would keep tabs on each other round the clock.

I use Plaxo & LinkedIn for work, and Facebook & Myspace for friends.. of all of them, I rarely find a good use. Myspace is a fun way to find old friends from high school, but beyond that I think they all serve a weak purpose. No thanks Twitter!

I am bringing this back up. I think more and more of us are now starting to use twitter. In the past two months, I have become as addicted to it as I am Facebook. In fact, I have my twitter update my facebook status.

So, if you are on twitter, post your link here. Mine is in my signature.

I really don't understand twitter. What is the difference between twitter and Facebook? It seems with twitter, all you do is update your status. What is the point of it?

To keep track of others and let them keep track of you, in a more concise manner than facebook. It's like a very, very short mini-blog (I think all you get per entry is something like 150 characters).

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
