I like the yoga program, and enjoy the step aerobics. I do not have steps in my home, and it gets my heart beating faster. I do not run, although I'd like to pick it up someday. Seems like a great stress reliever.

I missed the Biggest Loser this week. I've gotten hooked on NCIS and forgot to change over to NBC for BL. Sounds like I didn't miss a lot. Who was voted off this week?

I really never liked Heba that much. Just something about her bothered me. Now she's showing her true colors. I want her gone. Coleen is my favorite - I'm rooting for her.

that vicki & brady (ugh wanna slap)....even bob commented what a game player that "wife is"...(his words)

anyone from the black team is my FAVORITE.! i bet they go individual next wk...

13lbs from brady.. he so Water loaded last wk. i hope that husband & wife team leave broke!

I agree wholeheartedly with Lulu - this season SUCKS! :)

It's so obvious that Brady and Vicki are game-playing...he loses 13 lbs in one week? Impossible - he's not that strong of a player. Someone on another thread suggested he was water-loading...a player last season did that too. It wouldn't surprise me...

Hated to see the black team take a loss last night...but then the hubby that went home was really homesick and missing his family. The reunion with his wife and the ring he bought her for their 20th was sweet. They are coming back in 2 weeks for the special "they're back" edition...the preview had him asking someone "So you want to hit me?"...

Drama, drama, drama...get back to the workouts for god's sake!:)

I really hope Colleen wins...now Jillian has an all-girl team, so they've gotta step their game up another notch. It'll be interesting to see if the "alliances" survive when it's every man / woman for themselves. Then I bet we see Vicki and Brady turn on Heba. I think Vicki would turn on her own husband if given the chance...

I hope they return to the old format - more workouts, more about fitness, less drama...we should start a write-in campaign to make them return to the old ways.

I watch because it's now a habit, and ya just gotta watch the accident happen, no matter what side of the highway it's on...:)

I watched last night too. There is nothing on at that time, but I still hate myself for doing it. :)

I agree with everyone. This season sucks!! The only workout we saw last night was a little bit of the last chance workout. They make it look like that is all they do all week. Anyway, Vicki and Heba are evil. That little drama between Phil, haba and Brady was ridiculous. I was ok with Brady, but he is on my bad list too. I can't stand the blue team, and love the black team. GO COLLEEN!!!!!!! Her leaving during the Heba Phil arguement is just what you would expect form her. She is not here for all that. She wants to work hard and change!! GO COLEEN!!!!

I am with you guys - I like the black team and the one girl on the Blue Team - her mom got sent home earlier - I am starting to like her too. She voted for Brady. :-)

I too am sick of the drama.

I agree....this season sucks! But like luluc, I'll still watch because I'm hooked, lol. Brady, Vickie, and Heba need to go!! Can't stand any of them. I think they are switching to individuals next week. I think that's a good thing. I hope Vickie or Heba goes home!!

Oh, and I agree about the workouts. They need to show more working out and LESS drama!!

I agree with ya'll...of course. Heba is just a bi*** and her husband just gives me the creeps. I will say I like Amy on their team...too bad she's stuck with them. I still am pulling for Colleen. She seems above all of the petiness...funny she is the youngest, but is the most mature. I was kinda glad to see Phil gone. Don't get me wrong - I like him - he and his wife both seem like good people...he just seemed lost without her and his heart wasn't at the ranch. I think that's why he only lost 3 pounds - he didn't want it without her.

so are they goign to bring one or two people who were previously voted off?

its more than likely going to no teams next episode... the old contestants are back, but why? are a few coming back? will it be based on weight lost?

hmmmmm..

(go Colleen)

i really think this was the last "team" episode..., think they're going individual. if not mistaken, i think each season - they do bring back 2 persons voted off based on their percentage of weightloss while at home. i would just LOVE for 2 to come back & replace vicki / brady or heba!

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
